Lose track of time in the peaceful sanctuary of Villa Mimosa. Here, you can start your day with coffee overlooking the Ionian Sea before unrolling a yoga mat to salute the early sun. Afternoons are, perhaps, for a gentle moment of mindfulness in the meditation pavilion, followed by a shady stroll through ancient olive groves to find the private masseuse. Lounge by the lagoon-style infinity pool as you soak up the last moments of the evening sun. Dinner is a nourishing feast of Mediterranean specialities prepared with local, organic ingredients. A yoga retreat like no other, Villa Mimosa is a place so wonderfully serene that you may never want to leave.
Up to 20 guests can reside in the total privacy of this spacious hideaway. Mimosa comprises a main house with a kitchen, living areas, and a dining room, as well as five auxiliary villas. Meticulously designed by Italian architect Giovanni Bellegamba, the interiors take inspiration from Balinese architecture, including bespoke Balinese doors and water features. However, there is no doubt you are in Greece; when you step outside, you will find yourself surrounded by olive trees and electric-blue views of the Ionian Sea.
The verdant grounds of Villa Mimosa are lined with lush vegetation, which offers a welcome shade while out exploring. The 196 sqm infinity pool spills out onto sparkling sea vistas, with a plethora of plush loungers to choose from. Curl up in the sunshine as you bask in total zen from your Savasana. There is also a covered outdoor terrace area for dining al fresco.
Villa Mimosa has both a beach and a town within a short walking distance. Those tempted by a dip in the Ionian’s crystal waters can take a leisurely 15-minute stroll to Perigiali Beach. A pebble-stoned beach with a deep, rocky seabed for snorkelling and a relaxed vibe — without any tourist bars or tavernas. The bustling village of Nydri is also just a 20-minute walk from the villa. Here, you will find characterful local shops and cafés, water sports activities, and plenty of restaurants serving up fresh catch of the day.
